As of September 1, 2009, the Management Board for joint stock company Ventspils nafta will work in composition of three members, as notice of resignation from this position has been filed by Guntis Tīrmanis. Thereby, work in the Management Board for JSC Ventspils nafta will be continued by the Chairperson of Management Board/President of JSC Ventspils nafta Olga Pētersone, the Legal Director of JSC Ventspils nafta Ilva Purēna, as well as the Financial Director of JSC Ventspils nafta Normunds Staņēvičs. The reason for resignation of G.Tīrmanis from the position of member of JSC Ventspils nafta Management Board is his recent 65th anniversary and the considerable workload, as he works both at JSC Ventspils nafta and the Management Board of its associated company JSC Latvian Shipping Company at the same time. Considering the extensive working experience of G.Tīrmanis basically in relation to sea transport, he has decided to continue working only as member of Management Board for JSC Latvian Shipping Company.
