Poetry of a Distressed Mind -- New Book is a Special Collection of Poetry On the Mysterious Tales of a Troubled Mind

SAN PEDRO, Calif., Sept. 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Poet G. Larry Butler has the uncanny ability to depart from the common thread of poetry and adhere to the peculiar dictates of his heart and mind. Having studied the intricacies of the human psyche, he creatively feigns the seemingly inimitable troubled mind to bring us his anthology of brilliant poems, Here Lies Madness.

Here Lies Madness shows the eloquence of a poet and the wild imagination of a psychologist, joined into a brilliant literary concoction. Illustrating ominous pictures of blood and death, battles, tears and terror, Butler furthermore paints nerve-wracking scenes of shadows in pitch-black darkness, raging monsters, fairy tales, and unquestionable insanity.

With approximately ninety rhyming and non-rhyming verses ranging from heavy to light, his poems are a vividly impressive representation of a multitude of emotions -- jubilation, happiness, sorrow, indifference, and madness. Witness a thought provoking, striking expression of the unfathomable depths of madness with this book of poetry. Grab a copy now! For more information, log on to www.Xlibris.com.

About the Author

G. Larry Butler lives with three females in a shanty somewhere near Hollywood, CA. One of which is a cat, the other two are his wife and daughter. Having degrees in Psychology, Anthropology and Sociology, he uses his training as well as his acute powers of observation to write disturbing accounts about people, political policy and philosophy he has encountered during his lifetime. G. Larry Butler's entire life is dedicated to the premise that there are no "absolute truths", which is, of course, the absolute truth. In his spare time, he turns over old rotten logs and stirs up what he finds with a stick.

In addition to his poetic pursuits, Mr. Butler has added some tinsel of his own to Tinsel Town as an actor of some merit, gracing the set of over fifty movies and television programs to date. He also hosted a talk show for undiscovered talent called Underground Hollywood on both television and radio. Larry Butler won a poetry award from the World of Poetry in 1986, for his poem, Here Lies Madness, which was presented from Vincent Price himself.
