DIGIA CONSOLIDATES NETWORK OF BUSINESS LOCATIONS

DIGIA PLC STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 30 OCTOBER, 8.30 A.M.

DIGIA CONSOLIDATES NETWORK OF BUSINESS LOCATIONS

Digia boosts efficiency by rationalising network of business locations.
Measures to be taken are planned to include close down of the sites in Kuopio,
Turku, Lahti and Vaasa, which employ a total of ca. 80 persons. In addition,
the company plans to reduce the staff of its software testing, product support
and integration service functions in Pori by a maximum of ten employees. Today
the company has commenced cooperation negotiations with the employees of the
affected sites. In total, the negotiations will affect ca. 110 employees.

In addition, the company has announced the closure of its site in
Yaroslavl/Russia by the end of this year. This measure will affect a total of
nine employees.

By consolidating its network of business locations according to market demands
and clustering its expertise in fewer but larger units to better meet
customers' needs, the company is striving to increase its organisational
efficiency and improve its profitability and competitiveness, especially
regarding the Mobile Solutions business. Regarding the Pori site, the objective
is to adjust the number of local staff in service areas affected by a permanent
decline in demand and competitiveness.

As part of the overall scheme, the Company will strive to offer new jobs to as
many employees affected by the shutdowns as possible. Company's remaining sites
in seven Finnish locations are currently offering more than 50 vacancies,
mostly in the fields of software development and project management. The Digia
Group currently employs a staff of ca. 1,450 in total.

The announced measures will have no effect on the services offered to the
company's customers. Possible one-off expenses will affect the company's
results for the last quarter of 2009, and the positive impacts are expected to
realise from the first quarter of 2010 onwards.
