Novavisions invests in e-commerce platform for pet supplies: petshop.de
GmbH
Rotkreuz (Switzerland), 4 January 2010 - Novavisions AG, which specialises
in equity investments in the high-tech sector, is to take a stake of 25% in
Petshop.de GmbH with immediate effect. Petshop.de is a fast growing online
store for pet supplies and accessories and is one of the largest platforms
in Germany for this sector.
With more than 10,000 articles for dogs, cats, birds, small animals,
horse-riding, aquariums and terrariums, Petshop.de is one of the largest
German online shops for pet supplies. Petshop.de GmbH can draw on logistics
support from BTG Systemlogistik Group, the largest wholesale purchasing
alliance for pet supplies in Germany and Austria, giving the company
considerable strategic advantages.
The equity investment is to take place by means of a capital increase at
Petshop.de GmbH. The company intends to use the fresh capital to further
accelerate its growth path and to continue its revenue growth from a base
of more than EUR 3 million in 2009 at double-digit rates in 2010 and 2011.

The parties agreed not to disclose the volume of the transaction.
Novavisions is financing part of its equity investment via a convertible
bond that has already been sold.
If Petshop.de GmbH continues to grow as it has in the past, Novavisions
will take an active role in developing the company and will also review
additional investments in this area of e-commerce.
