GelTech Solutions Continues Positive Progress With U.S. Forest Service Listing

JUPITER, Fla., March 9, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GelTech Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:GLTC) today announced that its product, FireIce, has passed the initial uniform corrosion tests in accordance with Forest Service Specification 5100-306a.

The U.S. Forest Service specification 5100-306a is the testing procedure for "water enhancers" to be used in wildland and wildland-urban interface fire management. They may be applied from ground or aerial application equipment, directly to the fire area to slow or stop combustion, and for exposure protection.

Michael Cordani, CEO of GelTech Solutions, stated, "Receiving the Forest Service 'stamp of approval' will be another big step for FireIce in the marketplace. We're currently working with firefighters in the municipal marketplace, at some of the biggest departments in the U.S. The Forest Service approval, however, would give us the ability to assist with the large scale wildfires around the entire United States. We feel FireIce is going to be a valuable tool for putting out wildfires."
