Innovation and Technology Winning Factors


TROY, Mich., April 20, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Syntel (Nasdaq:SYNT), a global information technology services and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) firm, today announced that the Company has won several awards for its Human Resources (HR) practices at the recent World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India.

The World HRD Congress is the premiere HR event in Asia, bringing together HR professionals from across the globe to discuss trends, share best practices, and honor both individual and corporate achievements in HR from the past year.

Syntel's Life Enrichment Program was honored by the jury as one of the most innovative HR practices presented at the event. The Life Enrichment Program is part of Syntel's holistic employee development philosophy, and seeks to achieve more well-rounded, motivated and productive employees by incorporating music therapy, stress management, creativity and spirituality into the working environment.

Submissions were judged by a panel of experts from business and academia. Finalists in each category were evaluated based on an oral presentation to a jury of international business and HR professionals.

Key factors to Syntel's multiple awards were the Company's use of technology to achieve strategic HR objectives such as workforce training and resource allocation, as well as overall HR efficiency. 

Other criteria that were evaluated include return on HR investments, the ability to solve problems creatively, and the strength of the company's brand with employees and recruits.
