Naturally Iowa Celebrates Earth Day

CLARINDA, Iowa, April 20, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Naturally Iowa, Inc. (Pink Sheets:NLIA) announced today that the Company is participating in the celebration of "Green Initiatives" as a part of the fortieth Earth Day in the United States this week. According to Bill Horner, Naturally Iowa, Inc.'s President and CEO, this year, Earth Day 2010, may have a special significance for Naturally Iowa's stockholders.

Green Bottle Spring Water, conceived and produced by Naturally Iowa, has been so well received by those who are developing "Green Initiatives" of their own that, in addition to the Grand Springs bottling plant in Virginia, two more water bottling plants in the Western and Northwestern United States have signed on with Naturally Iowa to produce Green Bottle Spring Water to meet the demand.

Naturally Iowa's Vice President, Dr. Judi Kosterman, stated that "For those who truly understand that steps need to be taken daily to clean up our environment, the unacceptable issue of sixty billion plastic water bottles sold annually in the United States has to be addressed now."  She went on to say that "Naturally Iowa's responsible, comprehensive plan to provide water bottles to "closed loop" venues -- where discarded green bottles can be collected, combined with food waste, and converted to 'compost tea' (an organic-rich liquid) in the ORCA Green Machine (a high-speed composter) -- gives real meaning to the cradle-to-cradle concept environmentalists have put forward on previous Earth Days. When combined in the ORCA Green Machine with food waste at any food service site or other collection point for food scraps and green bottles, our "greenest water bottle on the market" becomes a compost tea in less than a week.  The tea from the ORCA Green Machine can then either be used as a soil enhancement or conveniently expelled into an existing waste water system."

"Naturally Iowa's two new plants will begin producing Green Bottle Spring Water this quarter," Horner stated, "so shareholders may begin seeing an increase in Naturally Iowa's sales volume in the coming months."  Naturally Iowa's GSA Vendor status, announced last year, permits all government entities to adopt this cradle-to-cradle solution to their bottled water needs throughout the United States.  An additional website, http://www.greenbottlespringwater.com/">www.greenbottlespringwater.com, offers a short video for all who want to learn more about the Green Bottle Spring Water/ORCA program.
