Finnair resumes long-haul flight traffic

Finnair's long-haul flights from Osaka, Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo will arrive
in Finland today. Long-haul flights departing from Finland will probably fly
today to some extent behind schedule.

Europe and domestic flights have had to be cancelled today until 15.00. After
this time, Finnair may be able to operate some of its European and domestic
flights.

"We understand that many of our customers are in a difficult situation. We are
trying to fly as much as possible to bring our customers safety and quickly
home. Unfortunately the situation will not be resolved immediately after
traffic resumes, because by a ruling of the Court of Appeal we have to take on
to flights first and foremost those who have valid tickets for the flights in
question. Only after that can we fill aircraft with passengers who have had to
wait," says Finnair's President & CEO Mika Vehviläinen.
