Villingen-Schwenningen, 17 May 2010: Nexus AG, specialized in medical
software, was able to increase sales by 8.6% from KEUR 9,512 in Q1-2009 to
KEUR 10,328 in Q1/2010. The sales increase in the Healthcare Software
Division was 8.5% and amounted to KEUR 9,102 following KEUR 8,390 in the
previous year. Sales in the Healthcare Service Division increased by
approx. 9.3% in the first quarter 2010 to KEUR 1,126 (Q1/2009: KEUR 1,122).
 
The result before taxes improved by 50.7% to KEUR 828 (Q1-2009: KEUR 549)
in comparison to the previous year, and the result after taxes increased to
KEUR 668 following KEUR 460 in the previous year (+45.2%). The EBITDA
increased by approx. 22% to KEUR 2,062 (Q1-2009: KEUR 1,697) during the
reporting period.

The cash flow from current business operations was approx. 19.5% higher
than the previous year at KEUR 3,641 (Q1-2009: KEUR 3,047). Business in
other countries had a sales proportion of 38.1% after 37.8 (Q1-2009).

Cash reserves increased by approx. EUR 2.14 million to EUR 13.66 million
compared to the end of the business year (31 December 2009: EUR 11.52
million). NEXUS AG has a healthy balance sheet with approx. EUR 48 million
equity capital and - for financing its future growth - sufficient cash
reserves.
