Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Obtains Outside Records Faster With eHealth Global's Service

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 27, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- eHealth Global Technologies, Inc. (eHGT) announced today that the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), Seattle, WA, has successfully implemented eHGT's eHealth Access™ Record Retrieval Service.

This service speeds the ability to see new patients for cancer centers such as the SCCA. Using eHGT's customizable online request system, SCCA staff can simply and securely request outside records for their referred-in patients. eHGT then goes to work and retrieves all requested records, regardless of format or location, and securely delivers them in a standard digital format. What took weeks now takes hours or days, and relieves patients of this stressful burden.

eHealth Access has been shown to meet the turn-around, patient care, and efficiency needs of the SCCA. eHGT retrieves the required records, images and pathology slides for SCCA patients, along with acquiring any needed patient consents for the retrieval process.

"The process not only removed the burden for the patient, but eHealth Access gave my team more complete records in a faster time frame. The benefits SCCA now experience allow a greater focus on patient care and sets up a strong partnership for handling the growth that the SCCA expects," said Elaine Zedella, SCCA patient intake manager.

"We have worked closely with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to ensure our processes meet their needs for gaining access to their referred-in patients' records," said Timothy Fischer, executive vice president of sales and marketing for eHGT. "We are pleased that we can improve the speed that a patient can be seen at the SCCA, while improving overall efficiencies of the patient intake process."
