JDSU Expands Industry's Leading 10 GbE Test Tools for Manufacturers of Next-Generation Converged Data Center Network Equipment

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwire - July 19, 2010) -  JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU) (TSX: JDU) today announced three new 10 GbE testing tools that will accelerate the development, verification, benchmarking, and interoperability testing of next-generation converged Ethernet networks with emerging Data Center Bridging (DCB) and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) technology. JDSU offers industry-leading 10GbE test and benchmarking capabilities that simplify the testing of complex networks without compromising test accuracy or performance.

With the Xgig High Density 10 GbE Load Tester Solution, JDSU builds on the industry's most complete storage area network (SAN) test portfolio with a new tool for the LAN and converged 10 GbE Ethernet network environment. Its benefits include:

• the industry's highest port density with 32 ports in a single 3U chassis, nearly four times the density compared to previous generations of load testers;
• dramatically reduced cost while providing the most comprehensive test capabilities for large, complex networks;
• support for Layer 2-3 testing of 10 GbE converged Ethernet networks; and

The Xgig 10 GbE Delay Emulator and the Medusa Labs Test Tools (MLTT) Suite version 4.0 further extend JDSU's 10 GbE portfolio. The Delay Emulator accurately measures the impact of long fiber runs on network latency and performance with advanced delay capabilities and easy configuration. MLTT 4.0 now offers support for TCP applications, making MLTT the first software-based commercial analysis and benchmarking tool to provide accurate visibility into SAN, LAN, and converged Ethernet network performance while operating at line rate.
