Data Foundry Joins Austin Chamber Initiative -- Opportunity Austin

Assists With Efforts in Attracting New Companies to Central Texas and Fostering Job-Creating Investments

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - October 19, 2010) -  Data Foundry, a leading provider of wholesale and retail data center outsourcing, colocation, and disaster recovery services, announces its new partnership with Opportunity Austin, the economic development initiative of the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Opportunity Austin aims to foster sustainable growth through the creation of new jobs and increased payroll in the Central Texas region. As part of the new partnership, Data Foundry will participate in Opportunity Austin's upcoming "Mission Trip" to New York this December to meet with local business leaders to further discuss with them the benefits of doing business in Austin.

"Data Foundry is extremely honored and pleased to be a part of the Opportunity Austin program," remarks Shane Menking, President and Chief Financial Officer of Data Foundry. "Austin is a more than ideal location to do business. Due to its low risk of natural disasters and the high number of technology resources available, Austin is a great city to support our company and data center facilities. It also serves as a prime location for a wide variety of companies who wish to center themselves in a diversified and rapidly growing economy."

Job and wage increases projected early in the five-year implementation cycle of Opportunity Austin showed a net gain of over 117,000 jobs and a $10.8 billion increase in greater Austin's total payroll.

"Through its partners, the Austin Chamber has made a substantial investment in the region's ongoing prosperity and quality of life," states Tim Crowley, 2010 Chair, Opportunity Austin. "We are happy that Data Foundry has joined us and over 330 other investors in our efforts towards recruiting new businesses, supporting the retention and expansion of existing employers and tackling key regional challenges including infrastructure and workforce development."

In addition to the new partnership with Opportunity Austin, Data Foundry's President and Chief Financial Officer Shane Menking will become a new Board Member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce effective January 1, 2011.
