Number of outstanding shares in Elekta AB (publ)

Stockholm, Sweden, November 1, 2010

During October, 353,387 new B shares were issued in Elekta through the
exercise of warrants distributed within the framework of the established
option program.

The total number of shares in Elekta as of October 31, 2010 amounts to
94,109,333 divided between 3,562,500 A shares and 90,546,833 B shares.

One A share entitles the holder to ten votes and one B shares to one
vote.
