iQ Power is the First Manufacturer with TÜV-Tested Automotive Batteries

  - All ECO car batteries now with TÜV seal and GS mark

  - TÜV Rheinland confirms high quality and positive impact of efficient
    electrolyte mixing

  - ECO batteries from iQ Power to adopt new design in the future

Chemnitz/Zug, 10 March 2011 - iQ Power AG (ISIN: CH0020609688, WKN:
A0DQVL, Symbol: IQPB), the developer and marketer of eco-friendly and
technologically advanced starter batteries for motor vehicles, is proud to
announce that it is the first manufacturer whose car batteries have been
examined and tested by the TÜV technical control board. The TÜV Rheinland
has tested and certified iQ Power's entire range of ECO products. In the
future, all ECO batteries will bear the TÜV seal and GS mark documenting
tested performance quality and safety on a newly designed label (TÜV Seal
No. 0031871). All ECO batteries will also carry the annotation
'Automechanika Innovation Award 2010,' a distinction that iQ Power earned
last autumn for its ECO products' extraordinarily innovative achievements.

'The compelling testing results of an institution such as the TÜV Rheinland
provide verification of our ECO batteries' exceptionally good performance
figures by an independent body. All values were significantly better than
required by the standard,' emphasized Charles Robert Sullivan, the CEO of
iQ Power AG.

Electrolyte mixing technology, a new and exclusive feature among automotive
batteries, is what that makes the ECO series of products so unique. This
mixing not only improves the overall performance of the battery by
preventing those major losses of capacity that normally occur in starter
batteries from acid stratification and premature wear and tear, but in so
doing also increases the batteries' service life and reliability. This
makes ECO batteries with electrolyte mixing especially well-suited for use
in today's motor vehicles with their numerous electrical features and
conveniences.

TÜV Rheinland tested iQ Power's ECO batteries in strict compliance with the
EN 50342-1 and EN 50342-2 standards, which, although currently valid, are
no longer state of the art. The purely static measurement methods were
supplemented with simulated dynamic driving movements like those that
normally occur when actually operating an automobile.

Conclusion: Thanks to their overall design and integrated and efficient
electrolyte mixing feature, the starter batteries from iQ Power exceed all
the requirements set forth in the industrial standards. iQ Power's ECO
batteries rate a higher performance compared to conventional starter
batteries. The cycle stability, a critical determinant of battery service
life, is also significantly greater. Even the cold cranking current,
perhaps the most important factor for starting the car, exceeds the
manufacturer's specifications as stated on the battery.

iQ Power provides an additional voluntary manufacturer warranty of one year
beyond the 24-month warranty required by law.
