BlackRock, Inc. has informed Wärtsilä Corporation that it has sold Wärtsilä
shares on 9 August 2011 and now owns less than one twentieth (1/20) of the
company's votes. Following the transaction BlackRock, Inc. owns 9,838,853 shares
or 4.99% of Wärtsilä's share capital and total votes.
