Venstar's Wireless Residential Thermostat System Provides Two Major Conveniences of Wireless Remote Control: Maximum Comfort With Minimum Effort

Model T1100RF Wireless Thermostat and T1100REC Receiver Offer Seven-Day Programmable Feature With Four Time Periods per Day Plus a "Copy" Command

CHATSWORTH, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 25, 2012) - Venstar®, a leading thermostat and energy management systems supplier, today introduced its wireless residential thermostat system, Model T1100RF thermostat and T1100REC receiver, offering maximum comfort with minimum effort thanks to a completely wireless thermostat, seven-day programmability with four time periods per day, and a "copy" command. This thermostat is compatible with most two-stage heat, two-stage cool equipment including gas/electric, heat pumps, electric and hydronic heat, or use with gas/electric or heat pump systems.

"Venstar's wireless residential thermostats offer maximum comfort with minimum effort, all in a wireless format," said Steve Dushane, president and CEO of Venstar Inc. "The seven-day programming feature includes four time periods per day as well as the 'copy' command, which conveniently allows users to copy the previous day's program to the day displayed."

Model T1100REC is a base station receiver for wireless thermostats and can be mounted at the HVAC unit or at the old thermostat's location.

Venstar's T1100RF wireless residential thermostat transmits up to 500 feet, through walls and floors, at 418MHz which shouldn't interfere with other wireless systems in the home. They have auto-changeover with adjustable dead band (one to six degrees), a programmable fan, and programmable Unit IDs to link up to four T1100RF wireless thermostats with one T1100REC base station. For example, a main thermostat in the living room can be given ID code Number 1, enabling it as the master thermostat. Another thermostat, ID code Number 2, can be placed on a nightstand in a bedroom. When the homeowner goes to sleep at night, he or she can press any button on the bedroom thermostat, and it will take over complete control of the system, including sensing temperature from that room. The next morning, the master thermostat in the living room will automatically take back control of the system as it crosses into the morning time period.

All programming for the thermostats is stored in non-volatile memory. The T1100RF wireless thermostat features a thermo-glow electro-luminous display that shows heat and cool set points, mode, and room temperature simultaneously.

A five-minute compressor time guard and adjustable cycle limit can be disabled for servicing equipment. Set point adjustment ranges from 35 degrees F to 99 degrees F, and the sensing range is from 32 degrees F to 99 degrees F. Sixty-four different House Codes allow installation of up to 12 systems within transmit range with no interference.
