Following the successful installation of entrance control solutions for metro
systems in several major cities across China, the Gunnebo Security Group has
received new orders from Guangzhou, Xi’an, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
The new orders amount to over MEUR 2 and are for a total of 940 sets of metro
flap gates, an entrance control solution designed for high volume traffic. All
the gates will be produced in Gunnebo’s Chinese factory in Kunshan.

The gates that Gunnebo are successfully providing to the Chinese metro market
have a reputation for reliability, durability and for managing high throughput.
They were initially designed for the KCRC metro system in Hong Kong and
established the regional benchmark.

Subsequent installations have followed in many major cities across China. To
date, Gunnebo has delivered entrance control solutions to 12 cities, including
Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. At the moment 21 more Chinese cities are
planning to build metro systems in the near future, of which 17 are under
construction.
