Prior to joining Asante, Philbin was a field sales director for Animas, a division of Johnson & Johnson, and manufacturer of the One Touch Ping brand insulin pump. For over 15 years, Rick has been deeply involved in diabetes community organizations such as Children with Diabetes and the Diabetes, Exercise and Sports Association. He has also served as a faculty member and presenter for the Diabetes Core Curriculum Workshop. He studied athletic training as an undergraduate and has master's degrees in both education and business administration, specializing in health care management.
