JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PSS World Medical, Inc. (Nasdaq:PSSI) is delivering the Breast Cancer Awareness message nationwide to support detection, diagnosis and treatment of a disease that will affect one in eight American women during their lifetime.

PSS World Medical, which distributes medical products and services to front-line caregivers throughout the United States, is conducting a diverse national campaign to help raise awareness. PSS is providing awareness posters for physician offices, partnering with local healthcare providers to provide mammogram screening and offering specialized pink medical products, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society. In addition, during October, PSS delivery professionals, sales representatives and other team members across the country will be wearing pink shirts.
