Jack Kingston Announces REALTOR(R) Support for U.S. House Re-Election Bid

ATLANTA, Oct. 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U.S. Representative Jack Kingston announced support today from the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), the political arm of the National Association of REALTORS®, following a unanimous recommendation for support from the Georgia REALTORS® RPAC Trustees. In a statement, Georgia REALTORS® President Bill Boatman cited Congressman Kingston's hard work on housing issues during his tenure in Congress as the primary reason for their support.

"Congressman Kingston has been a strong leader for REALTORS® and homeowners. He proved he was a champion for homeownership when he fought for the extension of the National Flood Insurance Program," Boatman said.

"While Congress has repeatedly passed stop-gap measures that extend the National Flood Insurance Program for brief periods, Jack was a leading advocate in support of a five year reform bill to provide certainty to the housing market and the solvency of NFIP." Boatman continued, "In Congress, I have every confidence Representative Kingston will continue to stand up for homeowners, and REALTORS® and ensure our voice is heard."
