Nokia Music Thrills With Launch Event in Nashville, TN at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - Oct 22, 2012) - Nokia Music, Nokia's new free music streaming service, held its exclusive launch event last Friday, October 19th, in Nashville, TN in the rotunda at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The event hosted by Billboard's Ray Waddell, benefitted Musicians On Call.

To start the day, members of the Eli Young Band stopped by the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System's Nashville campus to visit with Veteran patients and their families and play a couple songs. Immediately following, the band made its way to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and brought the house down with an intimate acoustic set for an audience packed with various members of the Nashville music industry and media.

"We are grateful for the Eli Young Band, Billboard, Musicians On Call, and the Music City's music community for making our Nokia Music launch event a success," said Anthony Montenegro, Head of Americas, Nokia Music at Nokia. "It's truly inspiring to have so many people come together in support of such a great cause."

"We want to give a special thanks to the Eli Young Band for their altruism and express our gratitude to everyone in the music community that attended the launch of Nokia Music at the Country Music Hall of Fame," said Scott Welch, Chairman of the Board at Musicians On Call. "We are very appreciative of Nokia Music's benevolence, and look forward to future collaborations with them."
