MAKO Surgical Corp. Announces Commencement of Public Offering of Common Stock


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MAKO Surgical Corp. (Nasdaq:MAKO), a medical device company that markets its RIO® Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic surgical platform, MAKOplasty® joint specific applications and proprietary RESTORIS® implants that together enable orthopedic surgeons to consistently, reproducibly and precisely treat patient specific osteoarthritic disease, today announced that it intends to offer shares of its common stock in a public offering. Piper Jaffray & Co. is acting as the sole manager for the offering.

MAKO expects to use the net proceeds from the offering for commercialization infrastructure, selling, general and administrative activities, research and development activities and to fund working capital and other general corporate purposes.
