KILGORE, Texas, Nov. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Martin Resource Management Corporation ("MRMC") owner of the general partner of Martin Midstream Partners L.P. (Nasdaq:MMLP) ("MMLP" and collectively with MRMC, referred to as the "Companies") announced today changes to key management positions effective November 9, 2012.
Donald R. Neumeyer, formerly President of Cross Oil Refining & Marketing Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MRMC and Executive Vice President of the Companies has elected to retire after 30 years of distinguished service. Mr. Neumeyer's planned retirement comes after having served MMLP as Chief Operating Officer and in other business development roles during his career.
Concurrent with Mr. Neumeyer's retirement, the Companies are pleased to announce the appointment of Douglas Towns as Vice President to assume the majority of Mr. Neumeyer's responsibilities. Mr. Towns has over 15 years of experience in the lubricants business having been previously employed by several major oil companies. Most recently and prior to joining the Companies, Mr. Towns served as General Manager of Koch Sulfur Products Company. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and a M.B.A. from the University of Houston.
