FALLS CHURCH, Va., Nov. 15, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Four Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) employees were honored this weekend at the annual conference of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), held in Houston. Diana Joch received the Distinguished Service Award and Elizabeth Green, Tameika Hollis and Qiong Jackson were named Emerging Leaders.

Joch is a systems engineer with Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector, where she is currently the software release manager and test director for the Modernized Integrated Database program. As a recipient of the SWE Distinguished Service Award, Joch was recognized for her leadership, management, and teamwork skills, hard work and dedication, and the ability to get things done. Joch earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Boston University and a master's degree in information systems from American University. She is also a certified intelligence analyst and Lean Six Sigma black belt.
Green, Hollis and Jackson received an Emerging Leader Award, which recognizes female engineers actively engaged in an engineering or technology profession, who have demonstrated outstanding technical excellence, significant professional accomplishment, and have 10 to 15 years of cumulative engineering experience.
Green is senior corporate manager, supply chain operations and risk and opportunities management, where she is responsible for developing and implementing supplier risk and opportunity management processes, developing performance profiles of top strategic suppliers, supervising relationship management and supporting overall supply chain strategic planning across Northrop Grumman. Green earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo; a master's degree in business administration with a dual major in finance and management/organizational behavior; and a master's degree in systems engineering from Loyola Marymount University. She earned certificates in systems engineering from the California Institute of Technology and in international management from Loyola Marymount University. She also completed the technical management program and leadership program for women at the University of California, Los Angeles extension.
Hollis is a radar systems engineering director at Northrop Grumman's Electronic Systems sector in Baltimore, specializing in emerging technologies for the next generation of defensive radar systems. In addition to her technical contributions, Hollis serves on a task force focused on continuous process improvement, chartered with streamlining systems engineering processes at the company. Hollis earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Florida A&M University and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.
Jackson is a cost account manager and system performance team lead on the space based infrared radar system program for Northrop Grumman's Electronic Systems sector in Azusa, Calif. Jackson has co-authored 10 journal articles and wrote or co-wrote 25 conference papers and numerous technical presentations. Jackson earned bachelor's and master's degrees in physics from Electrical Science and Engineering University in China and a doctorate in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University.
