TV's TurnAround King Bullish on Florida; Bets Big on Real Estate One-Eighty

Grant Cardone Acquires Next Apartment Community for $33 Million and Moves Operations From California to Florida

MIAMI, Dec. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New York Times bestselling author and TV's TurnAround King, Grant Cardone announced today his sixth Florida real estate acquisition in the month of November alone, not bad for a guy that just relocated to the state from California sixth months ago.  Cardone's most recent purchase is an apartment community in Daytona Beach, Florida acquired through one of his real estate investment companies.  The property was purchased for $33 million and consists of 288 units in eight residential buildings on approximately 13 acres.

A 20+ year resident of California, Cardone recently moved out of the state after attempts to contact Governor Jerry Brown's office in Sacramento, including an open letter that was carried on Huffington Post and an op-ed article for the Los Angeles Business Journal, were not met with any response. In the open letter, Cardone warned: "You are making it impossible for me to continue to operate my businesses in California."  Cardone moved his family and is in the process of moving his business operations to Florida. In May, Heidi Cuda of KTTV-TV, the Fox affiliate in Los Angeles, interviewed Cardone at his home in the Hollywood Hills for their series "Saving the California Dream."  On a follow-up segment a host of the program picked up on his public message to Governor Jerry Brown and asked, "How do we know this is just not an open threat?"  Cardone responded, "Where I come from we don't make threats. The financial survival of my family and businesses are on the line and I will do what I have to do to protect that."  At the time Cardone had no idea where he would be relocating his family and businesses but was looking at states that are more affordable for employees and friendlier to entrepreneurs.  A month later Cardone decided on Miami, Florida stating, "I was there for a business conference and speaking engagement and as I was driving across the causeway to Miami Beach I called my wife from the car and told her 'We are moving to Miami Beach!" Cardone's wife, actress Elena Lyons and their two children became Florida residents in June.

Not one to take long to get things done and get connected, Cardone made the largest private party acquisition of Florida multi-family real estate units in 2012. His Daytona purchase this puts him well over the $90 million mark for Florida real estate purchases in November alone.  He is in the process of bringing his other business operations, Cardone Training Technologies, Inc. and Cardone Enterprises to Florida with plans to take over most of the top floor of the historic City National Bank Building on Miami Beach.  Cardone Training Technologies is the arm of Cardone Enterprises that provides business consulting and sales training advice to companies worldwide.

"One of the reasons I wanted to be in Florida, especially Miami, is there is a great deal of interest in my sales training technology and business consulting in Latin America; and while I am super excited about my recent real estate purchases, I am just as excited about our expansion with my other endeavors.  I have a radio show and podcast, The Cardone Zone, that we will be delivering daily from Miami Beach offering advice on business, careers and the economy," said Grant Cardone. "We are also in negotiations to start shooting another reality business TV show and would love to canvas Florida businesses to show them how to grow again."

"We will be aggressively expanding our operations looking for every position a company needs including social media, website development, receptionist, shipper, translators, writers, and sales people," said Sheri Hamilton, COO, Cardone Training Technologies, Inc.

Recently at a CBRE real estate conference held in October this year in Miami, Cardone was invited to participate as a panelist and was asked why he was so optimistic about Florida. Cardone responded, "The proximity of Florida between the population dense and changing demographics of the northeast USA and the gateway for Latin America into the US is undeniable.  But mostly I believe that Governor Rick Scott will do everything in his power to make Florida the leader for job growth in the US."

Magazine.

He has been a business consultant for over 25 years and is the author of five books since 2008 Financial Crisis; Sell or Be Sold, The 10X Rule, If You're Not First, You're Last, The Closer's Survival Guide, and Sell to Survive.
