LOS ANGELES, Dec. 27, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As part of their ongoing commitment to charitable giving, today Insomniac announced that it has donated approximately $300,000 to charitable organizations throughout the nation in 2012.
"During this season of giving I take great pride and pleasure in reflecting on the positive impact that Insomniac and our events have on the local communities that are gracious enough to host our shows and festivals," said Insomniac's CEO, Pasquale Rotella.
Insomniac's Charitable Giving Initiative donates $1 per ticket transaction and $10 per guest list attendee to charitable organizations in the local communities where the festivals are held, as well as nationwide.
"A critical part of Insomniac's mission is to leverage the support of our loyal fans to make contributions to deserving organizations that help provide unique and vital services to communities throughout the U.S.," added Rotella.
The organizations that received contributions from Insomniac in 2012 include:
Last year, in 2011, Insomniac donated $75,000 to local and regional organizations following EDC Las Vegas and more than $150,000 to communities nationwide.
