UrbanCode Announces Record Sales in 2012, With Over 100% Annual Growth

Company is Hiring in All Departments to Support Rapid Growth Plan for 2013

CLEVELAND, Jan. 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- UrbanCode, the makers of uDeploy and a leading provider of DevOps release and deployment tools, today announced record numbers in 2012, with over 100% growth in sales, and over 55% growth in the number of employees. As a result, the company announced that it has increased sales projections for the year 2013.

UrbanCode built on its leadership position in the DevOps market in 2012 by introducing new products that solve more of the DevOps problems within large IT organizations. Maciej Zawadzki, UrbanCode CEO and Co-founder noted that "Companies who frequently build, deploy, and release applications have recognized the cost-effectiveness of taking a DevOps approach to ALM (application lifecycle management), and are realizing the need for tools that help them achieve maximum benefits."

To address the market need for enterprise class DevOps solutions, UrbanCode released uDeploy, a deployment automation tool, in 2011. Now, with just over a year on the market, uDeploy has quickly become the tool of choice for deployment automation by several prominent Fortune 500 companies. uDeploy is used in several dozen enterprise class organizations, many of which are leaders in the banking, brokerage, insurance, and retail industries. The number of uDeploy users is expected to continue to grow rapidly in 2013.

As application releases increased in complexity, UrbanCode introduced their solution, uRelease, in late 2012. uRelease, an enterprise class release management and coordination tool, is already in use at several Fortune 500 companies. uBuild, a build management tool that allows large-scale complex build implementations, has also experienced rapid adoption in the DevOps market since its release in July 2012.

Additionally, AnthillPro, the successful, market-leading build and deployment solution continues to deliver tremendous value to both development and operations. AnthillPro has a growing customer base comprised of over 400 enterprises worldwide.

"UrbanCode took the leadership position in 2012 by offering a comprehensive DevOps toolchain," says Zawadzki. "The plan for 2013 is for continued product leadership with significant enhancements to uDeploy, uBuild, uRelease, and the introduction of uProvision in order to round-out our family of DevOps tools."

As the DevOps space continues to mature and UrbanCode expands along with it, the company will continue hiring in all departments. The primary focus is on finding qualified candidates for software product development, pre-sales engineers, post-sales field engineers, and territory sales representatives. Interested candidates should visit the careers page and submit a resume and cover letter to Claire Walton at cwalton@urbancode.com for employment consideration.

UrbanCode's award winning DevOps toolchain enables organizations to deliver to production faster, more often, and with fewer errors. For complex and mission-critical application development, UrbanCode's solutions provide scalability, decreased time to market, and accelerated pace of innovation. UrbanCode's thousands of users from organizations including Wells Fargo, Fidelity, Walmart, Disney, and Expedia, benefit from integrated best practices consulting, deployment, and training services.
