The after-party will include DJ sets from KCRW's Jason Bentley ("Morning Becomes Eclectic") and CHNL co-founder and CEO John Wander. Bentley and Wander previously performed separate DJ sets at Social Media Week Los Angeles' "Social 25" Party last September.
"It seems like there's a popular new social network every month, creating a discordant experience in our online lives. I'm glad to be working with John and everyone at CHNL to bring some in-person harmonic convergence to the Streamys after-party," said Bentley.
Bentley has been at KCRW, Santa Monica's popular public radio station and an innovator in the freeform music radio format, for over 20 years. He has also served as the music director and host of the station's flagship "Morning Becomes Eclectic" program since 2008, and has worked as a music supervisor for such films as The Matrix trilogy and Tron: Legacy.
"Jason has helped set the bar when it comes to defining a 21st century curator," said Wander, who has worked for many years as a House/Techno DJ, angel investor and entrepreneur, including his work with CHNL. "Ultimately, we want CHNL to be the 'Jason Bentley' for all your online content, whether that's your favorite new song or web video.
