iScan Online Appoints David Raphael Director of Engineering

Security Industry Veteran to Lead Development of BYOD Security Scanning Solutions

DALLAS, April 9, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- iScan Online, pioneers of BYOD security scanning, today announced that David Raphael has joined the company as director of engineering. Raphael will lead iScan Online's development team, as the company continues to expand and improve its BYOD security scanning offerings. Raphael brings over 13 years of security industry experience to the role.

Prior to iScan Online Raphael was a software development manager at McAfee. While at McAfee he also co-authored "Security on Rails," and led the initial release of McAfee Policy Auditor. Prior to McAfee he held positions at Foundstone, Citadel Security Software, and Ericsson, and was one of the early leaders of OWASP.

"I have worked with David over the course of many years now and know he is a top development team lead, as well as a great hands-on developer," said Carl Banzhof, CEO of iScan Online. "David is the perfect choice to lead the development team as we continue to define and advance the BYOD security scanning market. We were very lucky to have David join the company."

"The chance to work with Carl Banzhof and Billy Austin again was very appealing, but the opportunity to bring BYOD security scanning to the market was what made my decision to join iScan Online so easy for me," said Raphael. "The proliferation of BYOD, mobile devices and remote workers has left a huge gap in the security scanning landscape. I am looking forward to closing that gap here at iScan Online."

iScan Online, recent winner of the MSPWorld Cup Award™ 2013 from MSP Alliance, is pioneering BYOD and mobile device security scanning for vulnerabilities, configuration, compliance (PCI, HIPAA) and Data Discovery (PAN, PII, PHI). The company recently released its app for Android available in the Google Play Store in addition to support for Windows and Mac computers.
