The TechAmerica Foundation's Corporate Leadership Award recognizes visionary CEOs for their leadership in setting the model for creating and driving successful technology enterprises as well as their outstanding involvement and contributions to the U.S. technology sector. Mr. Cote joins a distinguished group of recipients including Vint Cerf of Google, Bill McDermott of SAP, Kevin Johnson of Juniper and Steve Ballmer of Microsoft.

"Dave Cote has had an immeasurable impact on the U.S. technology industry and the country as a whole, lending his expertise and passion to solidifying our country's fiscal future," said TechAmerica Foundation Chairman Shawn Osborne. "His influence on innovation is evidenced by the impact he and Honeywell have had by helping make the world safer and more secure, more comfortable and energy efficient, and more innovative and productive. Dave and Honeywell epitomize why this award was created."

Helming Honeywell for over a decade as the Chairman and CEO, Mr. Cote has overseen and managed a tremendous transformation of the company. He is also a founding member of the "Campaign to Fix the Debt", where he has been a leading corporate voice in Washington, D.C., calling on Congressional lawmakers and the Obama administration to negotiate a grand bargain to address the country's long-term deficit problems. He is one of ten U.S. CEOs that serve on the U.S.-India CEO Forum, and he was named co-chair by President Obama in 2009.

"It is a great honor to be selected for the TechAmerica Foundation Corporate Leadership Award," said Honeywell Chairman and CEO Dave Cote. "Honeywell's 'Great Positions in Good Industries' has been a huge driver of our development for more than a decade. Our broad portfolio, focus on consistent seed planting and investment in R&D, more global company, and focus on diversity of opportunity creates a lot of runway for future growth. We look forward to continuing to deliver for our customers and shareholders, and giving our employees the opportunity to work on innovation that is changing the world."
