Autonomic Resources Receives DOI Foundation Cloud Hosting Contract Award

Autonomics ARC-P Platform Gains Momentum With the 10 Year $1 Billion ID/IQ

CARY, N.C., May 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Autonomic Resources, the Government Cloud Service Provider (CSP), who received the first Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) provisional Authority to Operate (ATO) in December 2012 has now received a Department of Interior 10 year ID/IQ Cloud Foundation contract award. The Foundation Cloud Hosting Services contract was competitively awarded by the Department of the Interior (DOI), National Business Center (NBC), and Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD). The contract was set up in order to provide technical service lines within the infrastructure foundation for developing composite services that will be represented in a "Mission-Facing", DOI-Wide IT Services Catalog offerings at discounted prices and to facilitate ordering of these services. The vehicle also allows request for quotes/task orders to be issued on behalf of other government customers including both civilian agencies and the Department of Defense, by AQD Contracting Officers.

Autonomic Resources will represent its FedRAMP accredited ARC-P platform to service multiple service lines defined in the ID/IQ contract vehicle. Autonomic also teamed with Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) for cloud consulting and PMO services, and created the ability for DOI to also reach Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Cloud Services. Red Hat was also represented on the Autonomic team. Autonomic is Red Hat's only certified cloud provider with FedRAMP accreditation, as well as the only CSP in the CONUS to provide OpenShift by Red Hat as a Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering to government agencies.

"We believe that DOI provided a fantastic contract vehicle that will address agency initiatives to move into secure cloud computing stacks. By partnering with multiple cloud service providers DOI will be able to choose the best platforms on a task order basis. With BAH on the team we also ensure excellence in cloud consultancy and program management office support to DOI and other agencies that choose to utilize the Foundation Cloud ID/IQ," noted Autonomic Resources' Founder and CEO John Keese. "Autonomic is committed to ensuring secure cloud services exist amongst multiple service lines for Federal agencies to utilize."

The Autonomic Resources Cloud-Platform (ARC-P) provides U.S. government customers with a government community Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and PaaS cloud offerings providing both managed and unmanaged cloud services. Autonomic does not service any non U.S. government entities with cloud services and only utilizes highly cleared U.S. citizens for cloud operations.

Autonomic's cloud services are available through multiple BPA, GWAC, and IDIQ contract vehicles including the GSA 8a STARS II and GSA IaaS contracts. Both contracts allow for a fast, flexible and cost-effective procurement for US government agencies.
