In this role, Mr. Huima will contribute in developing SSH’s next generation technologies and solutions.

Huima previously held rotating executive positions, including CEO, at Conformiq Inc, a Silicon Valley-based leader in computer-assisted test design for telecommunications systems, embedded software and enterprise applications. At Conformiq, Huima created the company’s technical platform and led the company to multimillion-dollar revenues. Prior to Conformiq, Mr. Huima was a researcher at SSH Communications Security, where he played an integral role in cryptographic protocol management for SSH’s product lines.

Huima holds M.S. in computer science from Aalto University, Helsinki. His Master's thesis “Analysis of cryptographic protocols via symbolic state space enumeration” won the Annual Award for a Distinguished Master's Thesis in Finland from the Finnish Association for Theoretical Computer Science and was selected as the best Master's Thesis in the Faculty for Information Sciences at Aalto University in 1999.  It provided the first known method for automatically analyzing the security of cryptographic protocols with unrestricted state spaces.  He has also taught graduate-level courses in computer security and algorithmic testing and has contributed to various international standards.
