CLEARWATER, Fla., July 3, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced its partnership with LANDesk Software, which acquired Shavlik Technologies earlier this year, to offer Shavlik's products and services to its channel of more than 60,000 resellers. Shavlik, a recognized leader in agentless patch management capabilities, offers two primary product lines: Protect and SCUPDates®. Both are immediately available for purchase through Tech Data's Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) division.

Shavlik SCUPDates is an add-on offering to Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) that seamlessly expands patching capabilities to include third-party applications.
