Karma's Pay-As-You-Go WiFi Expands Nationwide Coverage with the Addition of the Sprint 4G LTE Network

Karma's Made for Sharing WiFi Service to Offer Faster Speeds in Hundreds More Cities

New York, NY, Nov. 6, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, Karma, the pay-as-you-go mobile WiFi service, announced its expansion to the Sprint* 4G LTE network, adding 230 new cities to its mobile footprint and expecting high-speed 4G LTE coverage nationwide in 2014. Sprint already offers 4G LTE in such major cities as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and San Juan, Puerto Rico. With the addition of Sprint's extensive network, Karma will expand its coverage to more than 230 cities across the country, bringing the company one step closer to making the Internet easily accessible, worldwide.

"This expansion furthers Karma's commitment to bring WiFi Made for Sharing to the masses, allowing users to pay it forward by earning free data every time they share their connection." said Steven van Wel, CEO of Karma. "Karma has remained focused on delivering wider coverage to our customers. We are bringing on a world-class LTE network to expand capacity, keep up with demand and make it even easier to stay connected on-the-go, for less."

The company's LTE enabled device is expected to launch in the first half of 2014. Karma's current 4G mobile hotspot, which runs on WiMAX technology, is now available in over 80 US cities and will remain active on the network. All purchased as-you-need data will be cross compatible on future devices. Karma's model will remain transparent and cost-effective: Pay-as-you-go for data that never expires, without any monthly costs, and earn free data when you share.

"Karma's unique shared WiFi model delivers a compelling value to the marketplace when coupled with Sprint's next-generation 4G LTE network," said Karen Freitag, Vice President, Global Sales, Sprint. "The ability to share Internet on-the-go amongst peers garners greater access overall and acts as the future of connectivity."

Through its robust MVNO enablement technology platform, Simplexity will provide Karma with access to Sprint's 4G LTE network. "Having partnered with Karma since their beginning, we have witnessed their growth from an innovative concept to a true market success. We are excited to now provide Karma with the newest, fastest mobile broadband technology in Sprint LTE," added Terry Hsu, President, Simplexity MVNO Services.

Karma's mobile hotspot is currently available at yourkarma.com. Those customers who join Karma in their movement, and own a hotspot today, will receive exclusive upgrade options to the 4G LTE network in the future.
