Hart Energy Expands in Asia-Pacific, Launches Oil and Gas Investor Australia Franchise

HOUSTON, Nov. 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Following its successful DUG Australia conference, which drew over 400 petroleum industry executives from Australia, Asia and North America to Brisbane, Queensland, global information provider Hart Energy will expand its Asia-Pacific footprint. CEO Richard Eichler today announced the launch of Oil and Gas Investor Australia in 2014 with print, digital and data products.

Oil and Gas Investor Australia will deliver exploration, production, technology, and financial information for petroleum leaders, service providers, government officials, bankers, investment professionals and others focused on Australia's rapidly expanding petroleum resource base. Coverage will encompass offshore and onshore operations; conventional and unconventional resources; production trends; technologies; midstream infrastructure; and Asia-Pacific's burgeoning LNG export markets.

This new information resource joins Hart Energy's flagship Oil and Gas Investor franchise, the must-read source for energy executives and the financial community in North America and beyond since 1981. The new Australian ventures also will draw on Hart Energy's global technology magazine, E &P, for in-depth unconventional shale, tight-sand, CSG and deepwater expertise.

"We are adding editorial, business development, technology and research personnel in Australian news centers," said Michael Silber, managing director, Hart Energy Australia. "This is not a transplant operation. We will provide global oil and gas information to Australian subscribers and deliver information on Australian resource developments throughout our global network."

Silber established Hart Energy's office in Melbourne, Victoria. In 2013, the Company became a member of APPEA (Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association), the premier body representing Australia's oil and gas industry, and staged its first DUG Australia (Developing Unconventionals) conference, the newest addition to its DUG series, the world's largest unconventional resources events.
