CHEFS FEED EXPANDS TO WEB

The Award-Winning iPhone App Featuring Dining Recommendations From The World's Best Chefs is Now Accessible to Everyone Online

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 15, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Chefs Feed, the first mobile food guide to provide dish and restaurant recommendations from nearly 1,000 renowned chefs in 24 cities, announced that it will be available to users on any device via its website which launched today. Until now, Chefs Feed was available only to iPhone users where it was recognized in iTunes annual roundup of "Best Apps of the Year". The app also won a Webby Award for "Best Mobile Guide," edging out Google Maps.

The online expansion marks the company's transformation from being solely a food app, to now being a comprehensive media company that houses all original video content, curated editorial features -- and of course -- thousands of dish recommendations from the best chefs spanning three countries. Furthermore, users, regardless of which smartphone, computer or tablet they own, will have access to all of Chefs Feed's content.

Since its v2.0 launch in October of 2012, Chefs Feed has created over seven million chef-to-user connections within the iPhone app alone- growing at a rate of 35,000 per day. Additionally, Chefs Feed's users have "eaten" and/or "planned" to eat over half-a-million dishes in the app. With the expansion to web, Chefs Feed projects an exponential growth that will further validate the company's "experts as reviewers" model.

"The two things we hear most from our users are 'come to my city' or 'how can I use Chefs Feed without an iPhone?'" We're pleased to have solved the latter as we continue to expand into additional markets" says Steve Rivera, Chefs Feed's co-founder and CEO.

Chefs Feed has raised over $2 million in seed funding led by Subtraction Capital and is actively looking to close out its current round.
