The new firm, to be known as Silver, Freedman, Taff & Tiernan LLP, brings together each firm's four decades of practice experience to address the unique challenges facing financial institutions and their officers, directors and employees. The combined firm will have acted as counsel to both issuers and underwriters in over 1,000 securities offerings raising more than $40 billion, and acted as counsel for both buyers and sellers in over 800 merger and acquisition transactions totaling in excess of $50 billion in deal value. The combined firm represents hundreds of banks, savings institutions, trust companies and credit unions across the country.
