BURLINGTON, Mass., Dec. 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Exa® Corporation (Nasdaq:EXA), a global innovator of fluids simulation solutions for product engineering, announced two Vice President appointments to support Exa's continued effort to accelerate deployment of its simulation solution suite and maintain its status as the premier provider for the ground transportation industry. In a newly created position of Vice President, Ground Transportation Applications, Dr. Ales Alajbegovic, will lead Exa's global ground transportation application management, systems modeling and optimization teams. At the same time, Exa has promoted Mr. Kazuhito Ishikawa to Vice President, Asia Sales. Mr. Ishikawa will manage Exa's Japan, Korea and China offices and oversee all sales and application engineering in those regions.
Exa has unified all ground transportation applications management functions into one worldwide team. This Ground Transportation Applications Team will be responsible for the development of application solutions and the deployment to customers of validated best practices, methodologies and processes. Dr. Ales Alajbegovic, already currently leading Exa's aerodynamics and thermal teams, has been promoted to this broader role due to his years of experience at Exa and other engineering simulation providers.
