LogMeIn in George Foreman III's Corner on New Innovation District Gym

ID's Largest High-Tech Company Sponsors Neighborhood's Innovative New Boxing Gym, The Club

BOSTON, Dec. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LogMeIn, Inc., the Innovation District's largest high-tech resident, has decided to throw its weight behind 'The Club by George Foreman III,' the neighborhood's innovative new boxing gym. Part of the company's push for employee health and wellness and greater support for the neighborhood, LogMeIn has provided entrepreneur and gym owner, George Foreman III, with initial sponsorship of the new gym, and dozens of LogMeIners have joined the ranks of The Club's early members.

The company is now looking to rally its neighbor companies and their employees to join suit.

"When we met with George to talk about his new gym, The Club, we immediately saw it as natural fit for our employees, our culture and the Innovation District – we wanted to help out in any way we could. And, once we told our employees about The Club, they started signing up in droves," said Jim Kelliher, CFO at LogMeIn. "It's an amazing idea and one that gives the rapidly growing number of workers in the Innovation District a fresh new way to not only shake up their workout but contribute to the neighborhoods growth and appeal."

LogMeIn, which moved to the Innovation District in April of this year, is already exploring ways to expand its initial support of The Club, from potentially employing its Internet of Things (IoT) expertise and technology on the gym's training equipment to organizing friendly fitness and boxing challenges between neighborhood companies.

"The response and support from LogMeIn and from the neighborhood as we ready the official opening of The Club has been amazing. It seems like every day we've got a new group of LogMeIners walking in looking to join," said George Foreman III, owner of The Club and professional boxer. "Our dream of creating the ultimate luxury boxing fitness center is almost fulfilled, thanks in part to LogMeIn and our other forward-thinking, innovative corporate members and residents throughout Fort Point Channel, downtown Boston and beyond."

The Club by George Foreman III is due to open up in the Innovation District later this year. Video tours and additional information are available at the gym's official website, everybodyfights.com, and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Everybodyfights.
