NEW YORK, Dec. 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Super producer Sergio George and his collective of living legends, the Salsa Giants, have announced the initial dates for their 2014 tour, which will see the collective travel to various locations in North and South America throughout the year. Recently, the group was nominated for a 2014 Grammy® Award for Best Tropical Latin Album. The nomination follows George's trio of wins at the 2013 Latin Grammy® Awards for Producer of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Salsa Album for the Salsa Giants. The group also closed out the show with an incredible performance.

Each tour stop will feature select members of the Salsa Giants including Oscar D'León, Cheo Feliciano, Andy Montañez, Willy Chirino, José Alberto "El Canario", Tito Nieves, Silvestre Dangond, Nora from the "Orquesta de la Luz" and Charlie Zaa. More dates will be announced over the coming months.

In the summer of 2012, over 12,000 music fans gathered at the "Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival" to witness a select group of renowned salsa musicians come together for a historical one night event. On June 25th, that experience was immortalized forever as "Salsa Giants" CD/DVD was released under the production of musical director and producer Sergio George through Top Stop Music. Following months of dominating the Billboard Tropical Music Chart, the album was certified Platinum in Mexico and certified Gold in Colombia, Venezuela, the United States and Peru.
