Hang w/ Debuts on Google Glass

Live Streaming Social Media Platform to Introduce Hands-Free Video Streaming on Google's Cutting Edge Glass Technology at the Consumer Electronics Show

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Jan. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hang With, Inc. – the live streaming social media platform – announced today that the company will introduce a beta version of "Hang w/" for Google Glass at CES in Las Vegas on January 7th.

Hang w/ connects people through live streaming video and simultaneous chat - allowing anyone with an iPhone, iPad or Android device to broadcast live to thousands of viewers. The Google Glass version of the app allows users to share what they are seeing and hearing live with all of the users of the Hang w/ application.

"We believe Hang w/ is a killer app for Google Glass," said Andrew Maltin, CEO. "The idea of being able to broadcast hands-free and share everything you are seeing via live streaming video is incredibly exciting."

As previously announced, the company has teamed up with the "Monsters of Tech," a group of recognized Top Social Media Influencers who work together to leverage the power of their combined social media. The Monsters of Tech will be among the first to use Hang w/ for Google Glass to offer an exclusive, live, behind-the-scenes look at the largest hands-on consumer technology show of its kind.

The Monsters of Tech include Robert Scoble, Thomas Hawk, Chris Voss, Andy Grignon, John Nosta, Ron Sheridan and Joel Comm.

Robert Scoble, a noted Google Glass evangelist, will be live-streaming and signing copies of his new top-selling book, Age of Context, at The Chandelier Bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel on January 8 from 7-9 pm. Click here for more information and to register.

"The Monsters love playing with new technology and we can't wait to get our hands on Hang w/ for Google Glass," said Chris Voss of the Chris Voss Show and Monsters of Tech. "I'm sure we'll see lots of people wearing Glass at CES, but we'll be the only ones streaming live while doing it."

The Hang w/ app has been embraced by many notable musicians, athletes, actors and entertainers who use the platform to build a meaningful social media relationship with their fans. To date, the Hang w/ platform has attracted nearly 100 celebrities and athletes including Larry the Cable Guy, 50 Cent, Timbaland, Kaskade, Paula Abdul, Terrell Owens, Jordin Sparks, Lucy Hale, Cheech and Chong, Jessica Sanchez and Jamie Kennedy.
