MacAulay-Brown, Inc. Appoints Industry Veteran to Lead its Business Development Efforts

Donald Raines Joins MacB to Increase Strategic New Business Opportunities and Drive Growth Across the Enterprise


Dayton, Ohio, Feb. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that Donald Raines has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development and Capture. Based out of MacB's National Capital Headquarters located in Vienna, Va., he will report directly to MacB President and CEO, Sid Fuchs.

Raines brings more than 30 years of business development, acquisition, program management and national security planning for defense and intelligence agencies to MacB. In his new role, he will lead an organization responsible for strategic business development, capture and proposal efforts. Working closely with MacB Operations and Administration teams, Raines will focus on meeting the company's strategic business objectives and driving growth across MacB's markets.

Raines replaces James Soos who is now MacB's Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Communications. In collaboration with the executive team, Soos will help shape the company's strategic business objectives and oversee key corporate initiatives, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), strategic planning and investment management. In addition, he will be responsible for performing analysis on emerging market trends, business expansion opportunities, competitive threats and internal business performance.

About Donald "Don" Raines

Prior to joining MacB, Raines was Executive Director, Business Development, for ManTech Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) where he was directly responsible for the business success of some of MCIS's largest business units and major accounts. Before joining ManTech, he was President of RIIT Solutions, LLC. At RIIT Solutions, he developed subcontractor relationships with major defense contractors to capture new business at DARPA and the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Agency (IARPA). Raines retired from the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel, spending more than half of his career in support of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Chapman University. In addition to several dozen military decorations, he has been awarded the NRO Director's Circle Award and the NRO Superior Service Medal.
