Tech Data Europe to Manage Supply Chain Services for Google's
Chromecast

Tech Data Europe today announced an agreement with Google to manage the supply
chain of Google's indirect channel across Europe for its Chromecast media
streaming device. Through the agreement, Tech Data Mobile Solutions will
provide complete fulfilment services, including logistics, transportation
management, forecasting, procurement consolidation, inventory management,
invoicing and collection.
'Tech Data Mobile Solutions is pleased to be selected by Google to manage their
end-to-end supply chain operations and distribution of Chromecast throughout
Europe,' said Rod Millar, senior vice president, Tech Data Mobile Solutions.
'Along with leading mobile solutions and enablement services, Tech Data Mobile
Solutions has the commercial and operational relationships with key retailers
that provide Google with a centralized pan-European approach. Together, we will
provide authorized retailers the highest levels of expertise and service.'
As part of the agreement, Tech Data Mobile Solutions has created a dedicated
central account management team and a collection of services, including
forecasting, procurement and supply chain reporting, that enables Google retail
specialists to commercially manage all European sales through a single Tech
Data operational interface.
Chromecast plugs into a TV's HDMI port and makes it easy for people to enjoy
online content, such as movies, television shows, music and YouTube videos, on
their television. Chromecast went on sale in the UK, Germany, France, Spain,
Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland on March 19, 2014.
