EnerNOC Director of Energy Markets Dana Guernsey Named to Mass High Tech's "Women to Watch" List

BOSTON, April 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EnerNOC, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENOC), a leading provider of energy intelligence software (EIS), today announced that Dana Guernsey, Director of Energy Markets, has been named to Mass High Tech's 2014 "Women to Watch" list, an honor that recognizes women in technology and life sciences who are thought leaders in their field and show great potential for influencing the future of their respective industries.

"Dana joined EnerNOC shortly after finishing her master's degree and immediately proved herself to be a high potential leader. It has been a great experience to watch her grow from entry-level analyst to Director over the past six years. She certainly is a star on the rise and someone who raises the performance of everyone she works with," said Tim Healy, Chairman and CEO of EnerNOC. "Mass High Tech couldn't have picked a better person to exemplify the strong leadership skills, technical savvy, and passion for changing the way the world uses energy that we look for in all of our EnerNOC team members."

"I'm proud to be part of an organization that is so committed to giving women the chance to develop their leadership skills, and I am honored that Mass High Tech selected me to represent other highly accomplished women here at EnerNOC and throughout Massachusetts," said Guernsey. "It's really humbling to be among this year's honored recipients."

Dana manages an international team of twenty people and is responsible for managing EnerNOC's demand response portfolio. Prior to her current role as Director of Energy Markets, Dana spearheaded efforts to create and lead a high performing Data Analytics team at EnerNOC, responsible for delivering on big data analytical challenges such as customer behavior analytics, portfolio energy reduction simulations, and energy measurement and verification of EnerNOC's demand response customer portfolio. Dana is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Six Sigma Green Belt, and Engineer-In-Training. She is also a member of Women@EnerNOC, a group within EnerNOC dedicated to inspiring, connecting, and empowering women to lead.

"As more technology and life sciences companies continue to put amazingly bright and powerful women in more prominent roles, the Women to Watch awards continues to shine a much deserved spotlight on these women and continues to acknowledge them for their leadership behind the scenes in the office and in their community. This year's honorees come from a broad range of sectors including clean tech, academia and biotech, showing the growth of women in leadership roles throughout many industries. Mass High Tech is proud to honor these women and looks forward to their continued success," said Chris McIntosh, Publisher, Mass High Tech/Boston Business Journal.

Outside of work, Dana is an avid winter sports enthusiast and enjoys road biking, hiking, and global travel. She serves on the Dartmouth Corporate Collaboration Council (CCC) of the Thayer School of Engineering, recently helped form the Boston-based Thayer Women's Alumnae Group, and in 2013, EnerNOC sponsored Dana's participation in the Boston Chamber of Commerce's "Boston Future Leaders" program.
