UBL Interactive Expands Leadership Team With Appointment of Jeff Whitehead as Chief Technology Officer


CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 19, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- UBL Interactive, Inc. (OTCBB/QB: UBLI) ("UBL"), The Local Leader with Global Reach™, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Whitehead as the Company's new Chief Technology Officer. Reporting directly to Doyal Bryant, CEO of UBL, and based in the Company's technology office in Charleston, South Carolina, Whitehead will be responsible for UBL's global technology vision, engineering and quality assurance operations, as well as implementation of strategic initiatives designed to enhance and expand UBL's portfolio of solution offerings. Since 2013, he has served as a member of UBL's  Advisory Board.

Whitehead has earned worldwide recognition as a noted expert in the design and development of next generation Internet business systems. He has more than 20 years experience in designing complex systems, starting new ventures and serving in senior leadership technology roles to efficiently take products to market for his own companies, as well as in a consulting capacity to several others. Whitehead's many professional accomplishments include designing, developing and deploying some of the first, transactional business systems on the Internet; crowd-sourcing consumer applications through social media sites; developing document-based transaction and workflow solutions with international reach; and developing massive scale, real-time data analysis systems for government and private sector ventures. 

Prior to receiving an MBA in Business Information and Computing Systems from San Francisco State University, Whitehead graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Fine Art, Chemistry and Military Science. He currently holds three patent awards for video compression and high speed correlation; and is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as an officer in a combat tank unit and led the implementation of creative computing solutions for large scale troop movement.
