USHCC Congratulates Telemundo's Jose Diaz-Balart on Joining MSNBC


WASHINGTON, May 28, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) congratulates Emmy Award-winning journalist Jose Diaz-Balart on joining MSNBC. Diaz-Balart, lead anchor of Telemundo's nightly news program Noticiero Telemundo and Enfoque, will be anchoring MSNBC's 10 a.m. Hour Live from Miami starting June, 2014.

In 1996, Diaz-Balart joined CBS news and became the first Cuban-American in history to lead a major news program. Throughout his illustrious career, Diaz-Balart has earned numerous accolades including two Emmy Awards, an Associated Press Award, four Hispanic Excellence in Journalism Awards, as well as the George Foster Peabody Award and the Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award.
