LogMeIn Earns Top Awards for Xively IoT Platform and Customer Innovations

Internet of Things Innovator Receives M2M Evolution Product of the Year, and Ovum On-The-Radar Awards

BOSTON, June 19, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LogMeIn, Inc. (Nasdaq:LOGM) has been honored with two prestigious awards for Internet of Things (IoT) technology and customer innovations. LogMeIn won the 2014 M2M Evolution Product of the Year award, granted by M2M Evolution Magazine, for its Xively Internet of Things (IoT) Platform. In addition, LogMeIn and customer Turbid Stormwater Solutions received Ovum's On-The-Radar award for Cloud Services and Infrastructure Transformation.

M2M Evolution's award recognizes the Xively Platform for enabling companies to rapidly develop and easily manage connected products and solutions. Ovum's award takes this to the next level by recognizing LogMeIn's role in helping Turbid create substantive business value with its new Xively-powered solution for remotely managing sediment basins.

"We believe that for technology to make a real difference, it has to be designed with business transformation in mind. That's exactly what we've done with the Xively Platform and why companies like Turbid are realizing such great gains by using it," said Chad Jones, VP, Internet of Things Strategy, LogMeIn. "Taken together, the M2M Evolution and Ovum awards are particularly gratifying because they recognize both the strength of our technology and the impact our platform and business-first approach can have on customers."

LogMeIn's Xively Professional Services team helps customers optimize their connected vision so it has the greatest possible business impact, and then helps build the best connected solution to support it, using the Xively Platform and complementary ecosystem partners. The Xively Platform, built on LogMeIn's Gravity infrastructure — which supports millions of secure connections between people, devices and data across the globe — is a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) designed to help companies accelerate IoT initiatives.

Turbid believes its new IoT-based real-time monitoring solution will help it expand market reach. "LogMeIn made it easy for us to go-to-market quickly with a product that eliminates the cost barrier to remote monitoring and control, making a profound impact on our business and our customers," said Ben Starr, Director, Turbid Stormwater Solutions. "Without LogMeIn, we wouldn't have developed this solution. It would have been too costly and time-prohibitive."
