Annual Changes to the NASDAQ OMX Global Water Index


NEW YORK, June 23, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ), parent of the world's first electronic stock market and a leading index provider, today announced the results of the annual evaluation of the NASDAQ OMX Global Water Index (Nasdaq:GRNWATERL), which will become effective prior to market open on Monday, June 23, 2014.

The following two securities will be added to the Index: SIIC Environment Holdings Ltd. (SP:SIIC) and The Toro Company (NYSE:TTC)

The NASDAQ OMX Global Water Index is designed to track the performance of the companies creating products that conserve and purify water for homes, businesses, and industries. The Index is weighted in such a manner as to enhance the underlying liquidity and increase the tradability of the Index Securities.

As a result of the evaluation, the following two securities will be removed from the Index: Ebara Jitsugyo Co Ltd. (JP:6328) and Aqua America, Inc. (NYSE:WTR).
