The Ensign Group Acquires Washington Skilled Nursing Facility


MISSION VIEJO, Calif., July 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Ensign Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENSG), the parent company of the Ensign™ group of skilled nursing, rehabilitative care services, home health care, hospice care, assisted living and urgent care companies, announced today that it acquired Beacon Hill Rehabilitation, a 67-bed skilled nursing facility in Longview, Washington. The acquisition was effective July 1, 2014.

Ensign is operating Beacon Hill under a long-term master lease arrangement.  At acquisition, the occupancy rate at Beacon Hill was approximately 75%, and the facility is expected to be mildly accretive to earnings in 2014.

This acquisition brings Ensign's growing portfolio to 126 healthcare facilities, nine hospice companies, ten home health agencies and twelve urgent care clinics across 12 states.
