Willis North America's Patricia Ennis Named President of the American Society of Safety Engineers


NEW YORK, July 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings plc (NYSE:WSH), the global risk advisor, insurance and reinsurance broker, today announced that Patricia Ennis, Senior Risk Control Consultant for the Willis Risk Control & Claims Advocacy Practice, was installed as President of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). Ms. Ennis, a 25-year veteran of the occupational safety and health profession, will serve a one-year term.

The ASSE is the country's oldest professional safety organization with more than 36,000 occupational safety, health and environmental professional members worldwide. The ASSE promotes the expertise, leadership and commitment of its members, while providing professional development support, advocacy and standards development.

In her role as President, Ms. Ennis will focus on delivering ASSE's members with tools and resources to enhance business productivity through cutting edge safety programs, and she will work to elevate the safety, health and environmental profession within the business community. Ms. Ennis will continue to serve as a Senior Risk Control Consultant within the Willis Risk Control and Claims Advocacy Practice.
